Technology Standards that I Would Like to Learn

I would like to learn more about the concept of digital citizenship and technology operations and concepts. Many students today know how to creatively use technology. They can build interesting powerpoints, websites, and MySpace home pages. They know how to communicate through cell phones, text messages, and email. Students also know how to surf the web and collect information to use in reports and speeches. What they do not seen to know is how to use the information that they have access to in a responsible fashion. Easy access to immense amounts of information requires that teachers help students to understand the moral obligations they are under when they use another persons research. I also would like to gain a better understanding of how to use a smart board, how to do pod-casts, and how to do a blog. I need to understand how to use the interesting new tools that are now available to teachers if I hope to teach the usage of them to students.
